Prior to the last World Cup we also ran a project "The Wisdom of Fans" (inspired by the Wisdom of crowds) in which we set up a sub-site so people could predict the rankings of the participating teams. Given the randomness of the participants the result was unsuprisingly in variance with what actually happened (which was itself something of a surprise (well, to everyone except the Italians)). The aggregated predictions of participants was however, identical to the bookie's odds. Interesting result.
11v11 is an ongoing project.
